On January 1, 2018, a new Suffolk County law will go into effect, charging a five-cent fee for plastic and paper carryout bags, at a variety of retail stores. Those in support of the fee believe it will protect the environment. Those against view it as a tax that will hurt local businesses. Would you support Nassau County imposing a five-cent fee on plastic and paper carryout bags?

We need to get rid of our Town leaders especially KATE MURRRAY, who couldn't wait to get rid of the Islanders because of the fear of over crowding dowtown Hempstead and the possibility of higher taxes. Well now we will definately have higher taxes from the loss of revenue generated by the Islanders and downtown Hempstead can become a ghost town. GREAT JOB!!!

Regardless of you political leanings or affiliations, Nassau County has lost a man who fought for LI for many years. Regardless of a political party, I fully respect each of the legislators for they are passionate in what they beleive in and are willing to fight for what they believe is right.

Should Nassau County Legislators have term limits?

Nassau County Legislators and the County Executive should not be able to serve more than 8 years. After the 8 years they can go back to the jobs/careers they had before elected office and new people can step in. Both Democrats and Republicans stay in power too long.

In an effort to get both sides of the aisle to communicate better have Democrats and Republicans sit in alternate seats as opposed to sitting separately during Nassau County legislative meetings. I would hope this would create greater communication and non-partisan behavior during public meetings.
