Look we don't have to redevelop Belmont. The transport system won't bear the extra traffic. The Coliseum area can. But we fouled that up before. The problem in this county is we can't get anything done. Every one wants theirs. Sounds like the whole country though. I suggest giving this Idea to Sydney Aus. I know they can get it together.

With the exit for the New York Islanders, Nassau county should really consider a lucrative project to do with the land. Being that you have a hotel in the area already, a casino comes to mind. It is by a major highway, easily accessible and would generate jobs and revenue for the entire surrounding area. If not a casino, sell the building to a sporting outlet like the W.W.E. I am sure both Donald Trump (for Casino) and Vince McMahon (W.W.E) would be interested for the potential of expanding their empires.

It would be the first hockey arena of its kind. The community would support a novel idea that keeps the Islanders here and all can watch hockey as it was meant to played... outdoors! College hoops and concerts under the stars would be a regular occurrence and it may reverse the trend of our youth leaving town because there would be an exciting local venue for entertainment... See the link below for some creative ideas as to what a roof over the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center would look like. This should be a spark for novel ideas for the coliseum.

Source Mall is dead, Roosevelt Field Mall is becoming a giant food court and these mental midgets built another mall on Old Country Road called "The Gallery", where all the stores that left the Source And The Field went to! Who's on the county planning board, kindergardeners? IF we DO NOT REBUILD The COLISEUM this whole county is going down the tubes and we'll have 3 empty malls! Fire Murray Today!

Many broadway theaters currently charge a huge premium for the best seats. Some sports teams charge one time licensing fees for season ticket holders. I suggest charging $1500 a year for 10% of the seats to anyone who wants first dibs on any concert or show at the new Nassau Coliseum. This would be about a $15 premium on each ticket. These seats already command a premium from scalpers and it would raise $2,500,000 per year to offset the cost of a new coliseum and keep the Islanders in Nassau. This charge would NOT apply to Islanders season ticket holders. Adam Haber

I do not give the single slightest of a damn about how you guys do it, but by God do not lose the only thing that's actually worth anything in this county. Warning's in place, you lose the Islanders and Nassau County goes down the drain. This will either cost you all your jobs, or allow you all to keep them. Stop with the freaking political football and get this damn thing done!

Please keep the New York Islanders here on Long Island, without them we are barley revelavant and the county will lose much more money, Long Island needs the Islanders. LETS GO ISLANDERS!

Kate Murray turned down 4 billion dollars of private money in the name of maintaining suburbia. Throughout the entire time the LHP was being promoted Murray refused to meet with Wang. She claimed she needed to be unbiased in assessing the situation. Years later she finally finished her rezoning. Rival developers and economists deemed it to be a failure insofar as it wasn't a viable option for viable long term economic profit.

Here's an idea. Approve the Lighthouse project and get working on it. The only thing worth a damn in this county is the hockey team and you guys are gambling with it. Then you pat yourselves on the back because you think you did SUCH a great job. You are doing a TERRIBLE job. We have the highest taxes in the country and you wanna get rid of the only thing here that makes money? Stop being so ridiculous. Stop playing he said/she said, go to Wang--give him what he wants and save the county, the team and Uniondale. If this team leaves our insane taxes will go even higher! SAVE THE ISLANDERS!
