On January 1, 2018, a new Suffolk County law will go into effect, charging a five-cent fee for plastic and paper carryout bags, at a variety of retail stores. Those in support of the fee believe it will protect the environment. Those against view it as a tax that will hurt local businesses. Would you support Nassau County imposing a five-cent fee on plastic and paper carryout bags?

We need to get rid of our Town leaders especially KATE MURRRAY, who couldn't wait to get rid of the Islanders because of the fear of over crowding dowtown Hempstead and the possibility of higher taxes. Well now we will definately have higher taxes from the loss of revenue generated by the Islanders and downtown Hempstead can become a ghost town. GREAT JOB!!!

Nassau County does not have a coehisive form of government. What we have is an olde English style of Theftdome. The Snaitation districts answer to no one and are run by "families", the schools are run by Superintendants who rule with iron fists and threats, and you have Towns and Villages who are run by dictators who could care less about teh COunty as a whole. What does the County Executive do? Who is he incharge of besides the Police Department. Certainly not LIPA or any of teh the Theftdomes. NASSAU COUNTY IS A JOKE!!!!
It is time to change goverment as a whole. One County one government. Our taxes would go down by half and our services would increase 10 fold.

Agreed. They should really

Agreed. They should really do something with that area.....CASINO or work on bringing the giant back to NY. Now the tax hike is going to be 10 fold higher.....what a shame
