On January 1, 2018, a new Suffolk County law will go into effect, charging a five-cent fee for plastic and paper carryout bags, at a variety of retail stores. Those in support of the fee believe it will protect the environment. Those against view it as a tax that will hurt local businesses. Would you support Nassau County imposing a five-cent fee on plastic and paper carryout bags?

Lets knock down the old building, build a new sports arena to keep the Islanders and lets bring in or create a professional soccer team/indoor tennis tournament and arena football, try to bring the Jets back. In surrounding area lets build a convention center for farmers markets and vendors with outdoor seating creating a family atmosphere during the spring and summer months and a place for local workers to enjoy their lunch outdoors. This is a project worth completing it will create jobs, bring in better entertainment, attract tourists, help small business and boost Nassau County's economy, after all there is a Marriot Hotel, museums, and malls all around.
