Recently, Hempstead Town Councilman, Ed Ambrosino, was arrested for tax evasion, and several sources of his income are being looked at as possible conflicts of interest. Those in support of candidates releasing their tax returns believe it will give insight into their character and provide helpful information to voters. Those against feel there are already enough financial disclosures. Should all candidates for office be required to release their tax returns to the public?

Tax returns

Perhaps an IRS audit of 5 yrs tax returns should be done, with a certified statement of net worth.
Here's 2 things on my mind: 1st re: President Trump - As someone in the RE business I understand the complexity of his tax return. Every property is a separate corporation with income and/or loss, expenses, DEPRECIATION, and it flows to the final personal return.
He doesn't fill out a 1040EZ, it's probably 1000+ pages for all his enterprises, so the jerks asking for wouldn't understand it anyway. They couldn't even fathom it!
Next: How Chuck Schumer? When he campaigns, his mantra is that he grew up poor, a sign painter's son. He's never held anything other than a public political job in his life, maintains a NY and a Washington household and yet has amassed a RETAINED net worth in excess of $15 million. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?
Adam - Are you worth that kind of money????
