On January 1, 2018, a new Suffolk County law will go into effect, charging a five-cent fee for plastic and paper carryout bags, at a variety of retail stores. Those in support of the fee believe it will protect the environment. Those against view it as a tax that will hurt local businesses. Would you support Nassau County imposing a five-cent fee on plastic and paper carryout bags?

Nassau is floating multi-millions in unpaid expenses. There is no posted information on the County website as to how large overdue invoices are which would give taxpayers a sense if the budget is really balanced or not. Is it just smoke and mirrors around election time?

NIFA should insist on it as not much has changed in the transparency of the County contracting process since Skelos' conviction. It's still a mess.

Something is fishy when NIFA is only enforcing a pay freeze and hiring freeze on Nassau County workers. You know the one who do the real work getting their hands dirty everyday and putting their lives on the line.

If Mangano refuses to raise taxes but is allowed to hire political friends to $100,000 a year jobs while UNION workers and being fired and frozen their is corruption going on.

Either have NIFA enforce and all around freeze or open up a federal investigation into corruption by NIFA and the Nassau GOP.
