On January 1, 2018, a new Suffolk County law will go into effect, charging a five-cent fee for plastic and paper carryout bags, at a variety of retail stores. Those in support of the fee believe it will protect the environment. Those against view it as a tax that will hurt local businesses. Would you support Nassau County imposing a five-cent fee on plastic and paper carryout bags?

to reply to your query I need additional information. In 2001 I spoke to Tom Suozzi and told him if elected he'd have to find a way to control property tax growth, improve housing for first time buyers and improve LI transportation.
we spend about $30000 per pupil per year to educate our students but once they leave to go to college many no longer want to return, all these factors leave me to believe unless we solve these matters, LI is on the decline
